About This Event
Join us for a relaxing day exploring the calm waters of Stone Lagoon by kayak. We'll paddle across the lagoon to Ryan's Cove, where we'll enjoy lunch before taking time to explore the quiet beach and surrounding shoreline. Along the way, keep an eye out for river otters, elk, and the many birds that call the lagoon home. Before our paddle, we'll visit the Chah-pekw O' Ket'-toh "Stone Lagoon" Visitor Center to learn about the Yurok Tribe's history, culture, and connection to this special place. This trip is perfect for beginners and anyone looking to spend a day on the water while experiencing one of the North Coast's most beautiful coastal lagoons.
The event officially begins at 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM at Off Campus. Organized by Cal Poly Humboldt.
