Explore Sue-Meg
About This Event
Spend the day exploring one of the North Coast's most iconic parks. We'll hike the coastal trails of Sue-meg State Park, take in sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean, and make our way down to Agate Beach, where tide pools, sea stacks, and colorful stones make for a memorable stop. We'll also visit the newly renovated Sue-meg State Park Visitor Center to learn about the area's natural history and the cultural significance of this place to the Yurok Tribe. Throughout the day, we'll take our time exploring coastal forests, rocky shorelines, and scenic overlooks while learning about the plants, wildlife, and conservation efforts that make this landscape so unique. Transportation and experienced guides are included. Please bring lunch, water, comfortable walking shoes, layers, and a camera - you won't want to miss the views! Thanks to the support of Associated Students, this program is free for Cal Poly Humboldt students. A $10 refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot and will be returned upon successful completion of the program. This deposit helps reduce last-minute cancellations and ensures opportunities remain available for students who want to participate.
The event officially begins at 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM at Off Campus. Organized by Cal Poly Humboldt.
